BSP and ABV Launch Fiji THRIVE in the North.
BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) and Australian Business Volunteers (ABV) have marked a significant milestone with the launch of their Fiji THRIVE Programme in the Northern region. The first cohort of participants celebrated the completion of the initial phase of this 6-month coaching and mentoring initiative, setting a promising tone for the programme's future.During the launch event, BSP General Manager Retail, Ravindra Singh, presented certificates to the participants, highlighting BSP's unwavering support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Fiji. "Our investment in this partnership with ABV is aimed at connecting you with Skilled Business Professionals, providing a unique opportunity for growth," he stated. Singh urged the participants to maximise this opportunity and persevere through the programme's challenges.
The Fiji THRIVE Programme is designed to inspire and enable entrepreneurs to reach their full potential. "As your bank, we take pride in your achievements. This programme is demanding and yet with determination and the resources provided, you can overcome any obstacles and succeed," Singh emphasised.
Over the next six months, participants will receive free coaching and mentoring from ABV's Skilled Business Professionals, who bring extensive experience and a proven track record of success across the region. "Our commitment to supporting SMEs is unwavering. Since the programme's inception last year, nearly 100 local business operators have participated and benefited from the Fiji THRIVE Programme," Singh added.
Originally launched as the 'Your Enterprise Scheme' (YES) at BSP headquarters in Papua New Guinea in 2019, the programme was rebranded and tailored to the Fijian market as Fiji THRIVE. The acronym THRIVE stands for Together, Helping to build a Resilient, Inclusive, and Vibrant Economy, reflecting the programme's core mission to empower MSMEs with essential knowledge, resources, and skills.
ABV Skilled Business Professionals, Kaylene Benson and Cathy Corderoy, have been instrumental in the Northern Division, offering crucial advice on business planning and modelling. Their guidance is particularly valuable given the unique challenges faced by businesses in this region.
The Fiji THRIVE Programme continues to exemplify BSP's dedication to fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth in Fiji. As participants embark on the remaining months of the programme, the support and mentorship they receive will be vital in building resilient and successful businesses.
