Documentary Collections

BSP offers Documentary Collection services to both the Importer and Exporter.

For our importer customer, BSP will receive the Documentary Collection from the seller's bank, and either against payment or acceptance, will release the documents to enable you to receive your goods.  Documents are available for your inspection prior to payment or acceptance.

For our exporter customer, BSP will receive the documents from you and despatch to the buyer's bank for release against payment or acceptance.  Upon receipt of payment BSP will credit funds according to your instructions.

By letting BSP handle your Documentary Collections, you can minimise some of the risks involved in doing business internationally.

All Documentary Collections are subject to international standards ICC URC 522.
